Stickam
Stickam is a chatting website (like Tinychat)
for everyone who loves chatting, meeting new friends all over the world, and
seeing who has got talent, like singing, dancing, playing instruments, and
etc., but now it has already gone. It shut down on 31 January 2013 at 11:59 pm.
The website launched in February 2005. People could stream content live,
generating videos, and chat for free. You just searched for the website, then
put in some information, and then you could join this fun website. There were
daily and weekly shows from G4 TV, Andrew W.K., B-Real, Jake Fogelnest, DJ
Rossstar, Allstar Weekend, Guys from Queens, Hank and Jim, Tanner Patrick (he
is so cute but he's already taken) and others. I learnt about this website from
a friend, and had been on there for 3 years in full. When I heard the news from
my Stickam friends that the website was going to close in one day I felt so
shocked, and I thought that my friends were kidding with me, but when I checked
the website it said “We are very sad to announce that Stickam will be closing down 11:59 PM PST
on January 31. We appreciate your support and friendship over the last seven
years. Sincerely, Team Stickam”, but they did not give a reason why it was
shutting down. When Stickam's last day came, I went to the website, and said
goodbye to all my Stickam friends (there were just a few friends on there
because most of my other friends still did not know that Stickam was going to
close down). Since that day until now, I feel like there is something missing
from my life. I have to say a massive thank you to Stickam for introducing me
to such an incredible website like you.
